The Xenon120 will work from 4-6 miles away with best viewing from 1-2 miles away. The extremely bright white light (6,200K) penetrates for miles. All our lights allow you to easily adjust the focus with a handle on the exterior for different conditions (when it is a clear night you can focus to a pinpoint for maximum output or focus out to a larger beam when it is hazy or foggy to get maximum attention in these conditions). Xenon bulbs are the brightest because the light is emitted from the smallest area allowing most of the light to be reflected out. Other light bulb types have a larger bulb area that the light is emitted from so only 40% to 60% of the light is reflected out of the housing. We have tested HMI, HTI, HID & Carbon Arc systems and the Xenon bulbs are by far the best. Please understand that a 2KW is not twice as much light as a 1KW this only tells you the amount of power that is used by the bulb and not brightness. The most accurate way to measure brightness is to shine the light on a lumen meter at a certain distance and measure the the amount of lumens at that distance. Peak candlepower and other brightness measurements do not tell you how effective the reflector is and how much light is actually sent into the sky. Others using the same technology as us show a 1.8KW light to have 198 million candlepower and our system is the same but this number doesn't really tell how much light is sent into the sky. This beacon light will attract people from miles away wanting to know what special event you are having. Use it every night to remind your customers you are open late. Use several at once to get that Hollywood Opening Night effect. The greatest thing about this new technology is that it will plug directly into a standard 120 volt plug. Just run a heavy duty extension cord and plug it in. Almost silent while running you won't have that annoying generator running as with the old technology lights. The rugged housing is built for years of outdoor usage and is made durable enough to use outdoors is most weather conditions.

The full 360 degree rotation allows your light to be seen from all sides. You can adjust the height of the beam to be more straight up to allow pinpointing your location easily or closer to the horizon to attract attention from the maximum distance.

The built-in electronic timer with back-up battery will automatically turn the light on and off at preset times and you can set it to turn on & off at different times for each day of the week. When you unplug the light to store it away the programmed times will be held in memory for up to 15 days. This means you can rent this light to a car dealer or other business and set it to only work on Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm to 11pm and then lock the door and they can only use the light during these hours. You can leave the light with them for a month and only charge them for the time they can use it. With other searchlights you can only set the on & off times but not the days of the week, also with other lights if you unplug the power the timer needs to be reset.

The built in digital hour meter will show you exactly how many hours your light has been used. This meter has a 3 year battery back-up in case of power failure.

Optional colored lenses are available but these will reduce the light output (Red 25% loss, Yellow 10% loss, Blue 12% loss, Green 18% loss). Only available for 2KW through 5KW.
